Motorola
Brief
To position Motorola phones as the “must-have fashion accessory“ in the Australian market.
Create an event and product showcase that bought this idea to life, to generate PR and create a media and ‘consumer’ buzz around Motorola handsets.
Take the Roadshow to five Australian cities.
Role
As senior event director / producer my responsibility was to develop the event idea, pitch it and then deliver all elements of event production and logistics alongside a production team.
Outcome
‘Destination M’ was created as the themed title to communicate Motorola's ‘global fashion technology’.
Each venue was split into four cities / fashion capital destinations — London, Paris, New York and Tokyo.
A fashion show was held with international designer labels from these cities, models wore designer clothing and the latest handsets + mobile accessories making the fashion connection and reinforcing that Motorola handsets are the “must-have fashion accessory” of the season.
Competitions in each city drove traffic in-store and increased the uptake of Motorola handsets while the events were running.
